The aim of the Global Creative Leadership Summit is to address the challenges
and opportunities presented by globalization in the present and near term.
This year’s opening address, to be delivered jointly by Summit founder Louise
Blouin, and keynote speakers Pascal Lamy, Michael Chertoff, Luis Moreno Ocampo and Dr. Dominique
Strauss- Kahn. This opening will address five broad areas of concern that form
the basis of panel sessions throughout the Summit. They are: 1) global economics
and how, after the financial crisis, to revive economic growth worldwide, 2) the
coming environmental crisis, 3) the planning and strategy required to manage
commodities and natural resources, 4) how to respond to the demands brought
about by changing global demographics, whether to do with population growth
or migration, and 5) the urgent need to develop stronger global covenants to
resolve and prevent recurrent and future conflict.
