Mr. Fenwick joined Bloomberg LP in 1987, helping to launch the Bloomberg Professional service in the U.K. and Europe from Bloomberg’s newly established European headquarters in London. In 1994, he became Manager of Bloomberg Operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. During the next five years, European sales outpaced the rest of the world. Under his leadership, Bloomberg’s European operations expanded to include more than 2,000 employees in 40 new offices, five new local-language Bloomberg Television channels were created in the U.K. and Europe, and Bloomberg LP became a major contributor to contemporary arts.
In 2000, Mr. Fenwick was appointed manager of global sales. In 2001 he was named Chief Operating Officer of Bloomberg L.P., working alongside founder Mike Bloomberg in the company’s New York headquarters. In December 2001, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Bloomberg L.P and founded Bloomberg Ventures in 2008.
